What the service handles, and where the boundary sits.

Mike is Hiring publishes source-tracked hiring intelligence and provides optional private candidate tools. Public job and company research is kept distinct from account and candidate-workspace data. This notice describes the service at mikeishiring.com and its API surfaces.

Information and sources

The public dataset contains job postings, company facts, compensation signals, and related provenance collected from public employer sites, applicant-tracking systems, and other cited public sources. Basic service logs can include IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, and error diagnostics. If you sign in or connect a candidate agent, the service can process account identifiers, saved jobs, preferences, application state, and information you choose to submit. Do not submit special-category information, credentials, or unnecessary third-party personal data.

Purposes and legal grounds

Information is used to operate and secure the service, answer requests, maintain source quality, provide requested candidate features, measure reliability, prevent abuse, and improve the public read models. Depending on the context, processing is necessary to provide a requested service, comply with legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests in operating a safe, accurate hiring-information service. Where consent is the appropriate basis, it can be withdrawn for future processing.

Sharing, transfers, and retention

Infrastructure and service providers may process limited information to host the site, database, authentication, monitoring, and email. Information is not sold as a candidate lead list. Providers can operate outside the United Kingdom; appropriate contractual or statutory transfer safeguards are used where required. Records are retained only for as long as needed for the purpose, security, dispute handling, legal compliance, or reproducible source lineage. Public-source observations may be retained as dated evidence even after a posting closes, while active public outputs are refreshed separately.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. The service does not make legally significant employment decisions: rankings and briefs are research aids, employers control their hiring processes, and users should inspect the source record before acting. To make a request, email the address below with enough detail to identify the relevant record; identity may need to be verified.
